Meet the host

Well hello, I’m Kerry Traylor

I wasn't always this laser-focused on my dreams and yours. But working in L.A., New York City, and Washington DC as a young college graduate, I had the privilege of seeing all the fascinating and rewarding jobs that a college education could provide - from policy work to lab work, from architecture to business consulting.

Then I became a mom of three beautiful children, and like you, I wanted the very best and brightest future for them. Despite outrageous college costs and highly competitive college admissions, I wondered how I could help other local children have the kinds of educational and career options as I dreamed mine would have.

So...I became a a college admissions and financial aid consultant and worked hard for years, serving hundreds of client families, who had every kind of college challenge you can imagine. I'm now using the power of technology to bring my expertise and wisdom to new families everywhere with college-bound students!

I started the College Catalyst podcast to guide you, support you, and encourage you through your college journey so you will realize your college dreams as fast, cheaply and efficiently as you can.

It’s my pleasure to sit down with a cup of coffee and record the strategies, action steps, and raw and honest advice I wish I’d had 15 years ago when I helped my own eldest daughter apply to college. She's a PhD student now, and I'm determined to ensure that YOUR student has that much academic and professional success too someday.
