I've been where you are. Before I was a seasoned college admissions and financial aid counselor, I was a MOM...of 3 college-bound kids. I was terrified of the costs. And I didn't have the first clue how to get my kids admitted. Things had changed SOOOOO much in a generation! But fast forward 15 years, and I've mastered the secrets to helping hundreds of my clients find and afford the school of their dreams! Whether you need just a little help with choosing a college list or a lot of of help on things like essays or financial aid forms, I've got you covered.

Kerry's Story

I’ve grown my small college consulting business from scratch over 14 years, and by now, I've served 400+ high school students and their families from all over the nation!

I've worked hard, serving students from every socioeconomic group, culture, race, religion, political orientation, and educational background. And I've worked with every sort of college challenge you can imagine, from learning differences to family tragedies, from poor test scores to some very bad high school sports injuries.

It's required a heck of a lot of work. But with each family I've worked with, I've learned something more I can offer about the college admissions and financial aid process to other families just like yours.

The reward has been seeing all my client success stories....and all the top-notch colleges my high school students have been admitted to. And it hasn't hurt to hear "We couldn't have done this without you" quite a few times.

But the BIGGEST reward is now having the expertise and wisdom to reach a much wider audience of students and families who are JUST as deserving of college success as my former clients. It is my greatest honor and privilege to serve so many of you across the nation....and the world!

How I Do It

One thing I realized right from the start when working with families is that each student's circumstances are unique. I've worked with athletes, artists, actors and dancers, as well as budding young coders, scientists, and engineers. I've helped kids with financial struggles and health challenges, kids who are star students, kids who are still struggling to learn English....you name it.

So when I work with a family, I want to tailor the college consulting experience to them and ONLY them. That's why I have expertise in hundreds of little personalized college details. And that's why I'm creating hundreds of videos, guides, checklists, and roadmaps on every single aspect of college admissions and financial aid. I'm including stories and examples from my own clients' experiences. You can get them all or just focus on your own personal challenges - like test prep or applications. Extracurriculars or essays. College research or letters of rec. Study habits or career planning.

And I've learned that my families love to ask questions....lots and lots of questions. That's why I'm going to answer all of yours during my twice-monthly live Q and As! I'm laying it all out there for you....

I believe that education is at the heart of prosperity and democracy, and that all children deserve a shot at college - regardless of gender, race, religion, color, ethnicity, sexual identity, or country of birth. Through opportunity and hard work, our children will return the favor - by taking care of us and solving the world's problems!

I was educated at Williams College in Massachusetts, ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the #1 Liberal Arts College in America.
I completed my master’s degree in a joint program with Harvard and Tufts Universities, both ranked in the top 20 of US national universities.
While working for The American Institutes of Research in Washington DC, I was fortunate enough to serve the US Department of Education, the US Department of Health and Human Services, and the College Board as a strategy consultant.
I am the founder and CEO of both College Strategy Experts and College Application Solutions. As such, I have provided personalized college admissions and financial aid planning services to hundreds of families.
I am a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association.
I am also a highly experienced college financial aid planner, having been advised by Troy Onink, one of the foremost financial aid authorities in the country and a former financial aid columnist for Forbes magazine.
I have taught 9th and 11th grade history.
I am a certified parent coach by the Parent Coaching Institute in Seattle, Washington.
